  30. I was the original poster to this thread and I understand the reasoning for
  31. covering the PS.  They have claimed to be a Next Generation magazine not 
  32. covering what is old and on the market.  this is fine with me and I am a 
  33. little interested in the PS (although the more die hard PS followers we get 
  34. ranting and raving on this news group is turning me off of the PS).
  35. What bothers me though are comments like this spread in every possible
  36. article of the magazine:

  38. "The PlayStation--and Sony--have arrived.  And everybody else had just
  39. better take notice."      - No we don't.  I have a wonderful system and
  40.         while the PS exists it is nothing more than another games
  41.         system.
  42. "Is Sega's boss scared yet?"  -- in reference to Sony's entrance into the
  43.         market. 
  44. "Telero Boxing- hardly a threat to Playstation's Boxer's Road" - This is 
  45.         in the article about the Virtual Boy.  I never would have
  46.         thought to compare VB's games with the playstation's. 
  47.         Just another way to talk up the PS in an unrelated article.
  48. "A year after Sony first revealed the existence of the Playstation project,
  49.         the most company has finally delivered its most important
  50.         consumer electronics product of the decade."  -  Most 
  51.         important?  pretty presumptuous if you ask me.

  54.         defined its creation?"   -  Sure the PC's have problems but
  55.         isn't this story getting old?  I mean we had it with the
  56.         NES, then comp games got better and we had the same
  57.         arguement with the Genesis and SNES.  Then the 3DO was to 
  58.         steal the fire from PC games.  All I have seen is that the
  59.         PC game scene seems to grow just as fast or faster than the
  60.         console game scene.  I am sorry but no the PC game scene is
  61.         flourishing and the Sony won't kill it just like none of the 
  62.         other systems did in their time.

  65. This theme is repeated ungodly amount of times throught the magazine in any 
  66. possible chance they get.  I realize that the PS is a good machine but it 
  67. isn't the end of the world.
